Hiroki Nemoto was born on the 23rd of July 1950. From 1969 to 2002 he was an emplolyee of the Hitachi Company in Ibaraki.

Nemoto Sensei started training aikido in 1964 at the age of 14 and he studied for one year with O'Sensei - Morihei Ueshiba - the founder of aikido.

Nemoto Sensei then continued to study from 1974 to 2002 for Morihiro Saito Sensei in the Founders dojo in Iwama. He also travelled with Saito Sensei all over the world and has extensive experience in training and teaching aikido.He holds a 6th Dan Aikikai which he received in 1992.

 

Welcome to the homepage of Hiroki Nemoto Sensei, a 6th Dan aikido instructor located in Iwama, Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture in Japan.

Nemoto Sensei teaches aikido to both local students within Kasama City in the towns of Iwama and Tomobe, and also travels and holds classes in Tsukuba and in Mito – the capital of the Ibaraki prefecture.

Nemoto Sensei has an uchi deshi (rough translation: 'live-in-student') program where people from all over the world come and practice aikido (for a minmum period of 2 weeks) as an uchi deshi.

The uchi deshi are accomodated in a private house called 'Aiki House' in Iwama and studies for Nemoto Sensei as he teaches in Iwama, Tomobe, Tsukuba and Mito.

The uchi deshi also has the option to take part in the evening classes held, at the founders dojo - the Aikikai Foundation Ibaraki Branch Dojo - in Iwama, where several different sensei's teach aikido.

The uchi deshi program is open for both men and women from all over the world, and Nemoto Sensei has had people coming from Europe, Australia and United States to take part in his uchi deshi program.
